ALL LANES OPEN On I-49 In Carencro Following Crashes

Carencro Police Chief David Anderson tells KPEL News two separate crashes have caused I-49 to be reduced to one lane in both directions - both of them in front of Ranch Outlet.

A motorcycle crash is causing the closure SOUTHBOUND. The driver has been taken to the hospital after hitting a guardrail. Drivers headed SOUTHBOUND are asked to detour at Exit 7, just north of Carencro.

A jackknifed 18-wheeler is causing the closure NORTHBOUND. Haz-Mat is involved. Expect both NORTHBOUND lanes to be closed as soon as the scene is cleared and the vehicle is being moved. Drivers headed NORTHBOUND are asked to detour at the Pont Des Mouton exit.
