16 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office arrest report. Deputies say they investigated 125 complaints over the last 72-hour weekend reporting period.

 

Debra White, 47, 1130 LA Highway 83, Baldwin, LA was arrested on February 17, 2017 at 9:39 am on a warrant for criminal damage to property. On February 7, 2017, a deputy responded to a residence in Glencoe after receiving a report of property damage. The deputy collected evidence that White scratched the paint on a vehicle at the residence. A warrant was issued for her arrest. A deputy located White at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. White was released on a summons to appear in court on May 10, 2017.

 

Wilbert Cooks, 40, 1274 A St. Charles Street, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on February 17, 2017 at 8:18 pm for possession of marijuana. A deputy responded to a complaint of possible illegal drugs on the premises of a business on Lake Palourde Road in Amelia. The deputy spoke with security personnel and found evidence that Cooks dropped a small bag of marijuana on the floor. The bag of marijuana was recovered. Following the investigation, Cooks was released on a summons to appear in court on May 10, 2017.

 

Tommy Hardy, Jr., 27, 137 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on February 17, 2017 at 8:45 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt of court, speeding, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, and failure to honor written promise to appear. Harding turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. A deputy transported Hardy to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $415.

 

Antonio Collins Jr., 32, 101 Pluto Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on February 17, 2017 at 11:57 pm for resisting an officer and criminal trespass. A deputy responded to a complaint of Collins causing a disturbance at a residence on Pluto Street in Bayou Vista. The deputy located Collins at the rear of the residence. When Collins saw the deputy, he fled on foot. The deputy pursued him and found Collins hiding in the back of a truck. During the subsequent investigation, the deputy found that Collins went onto a property on Pluto Street without the owner’s permission. Collins was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Collins was released on a $3,500 bond.

 

Calvin Watson, III, 30, 506½ Morris Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 18, 2017 at 2:25 am for driving with a suspended license. A deputy responded to a complaint of a vehicle stuck in the mud off US Highway 90 east frontage road in Jeanerette. The deputy located the driver of the vehicle, Watson, and found that he was operating the car with a suspended license. Watson was released on a summons to appear in court on May 10, 2017.

 

Jessica Foster, 35, 234 Verdun Lane, Verdunville, LA was arrested on February 18, 2017 at 9:22 am for the following offenses:

  • Disturbing the peace
  • Resisting an officer
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt of court, speeding, and failure to honor written promise to appear
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt of court, following too closely, and failure to honor written promise to appear

A deputy located Foster at her residence on the warrants. During her arrest, Foster forcefully pulled away from the deputy. Foster also yelled loudly causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. The deputy transported Foster to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Foster was released on a $1,705 bond.

 

Eugene Kristopher, 20, 423 South Kinler Street, Boutte, LA was arrested on February 18, 2017 at 1:01 pm for driving with a suspended license, driving in the left lane/failure to yield, and speeding (construction zone). A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle traveling 57 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour construction zone. The deputy also observed that the vehicle was traveling in the left lane. The deputy conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with Kristopher, the driver, the deputy found that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. The deputy transported Kristopher to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Kristopher was released on a summons to appear in court on May 10, 2017.

 

Juvenile male, 13, Iowa, LA was arrested on February 18, 2017 at 8:53 am for indecent behavior with juveniles. In November, a detective with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Section received a complaint of indecent behavior with a juvenile. During the investigation, the detective found evidence that the juvenile male inappropriately touched a 4- year-old female victim at a residence in Amelia in April of 2016. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Sean Rainey, 24, 4212 Francis Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on February 18, 2017 at 8:11 pm for driving with a suspended license. A deputy was dispatched to a report of a stranded motorist on the US Highway 90 bridge in Morgan City. The deputy spoke with the driver, Rainey, and found that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Rainey was released on a summons to appear in court May 10, 2017.

 

Tremaine Francois, 26, 2017 at 505 Barrow Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 18, 2017 at 11:45 pm for license plate lights required, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle without properly functioning license plate lights and conducted a traffic stop on LA Highway 182. While speaking with the driver, Francois, the deputy smelled the strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The deputy then observed a bag of marijuana beneath the driver’s seat of the SUV. The deputy also found a digital scale and rolling papers inside the vehicle. Following the investigation, Francois was released on a summons to appear in court on May 10, 2017.

 

Ruby Griffin, 68, 150 St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 19, 2017 at 10:17 am for speeding, driving with a suspended license, and expired license plate. A deputy assigned to work traffic enforcement in Franklin observed a vehicle traveling 36 miles per hour in a posted 25 miles per hour zone on Irish Bend Road. The deputy spoke with the driver, Griffin, and learned that she was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and expired license plate registration. Griffin was released on a summons to appear in court on May 10, 2017.

 

Micah Scott, 25, 145 Michael Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 19, 2017 at 2:45 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery and criminal damage to property. A deputy patrolling the area of Michael Drive in Franklin observed a subject walking towards a posted no trespassing area at the Yokely pumping station. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office has received complaints trespassing in the area. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified him as Scott, and found that he was wanted on the active warrant. The deputy transported Scott to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Scott was released on a $5,000 bond.

 

Brian Dean, 25, 415 Moss Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on February 19, 2017 at 4:43 pm for theft of goods and no driver’s license.

 

Derrick Williams, Jr., 21, 904 Louisiana Avenue, Lafayette, LA was arrested on February 19, 2017 at 4:43 pm for theft of goods.

 

A deputy investigating a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista issued a be on the lookout (BOLO) bulletin for 2 suspects traveling in a vehicle with 2 stolen big screen televisions. A deputy in Franklin located the vehicle on US Highway 90 and stopped the suspect vehicle on Northwest Boulevard. The deputy and a Franklin Police Officer detained the 2 occupants of the vehicle. The driver was identified as Dean and the passenger as Williams. The deputy observed the 2 stolen TVs in the back seat of the vehicle. Dean and Williams were also positively identified as the 2 suspects who exited the store without paying for the televisions. The deputy transported Dean and Williams to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Jennifer Nichols, 38, 204 California Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on February 19, 2017 at 9:33 pm for theft of goods and possession of Schedule IV (Klonopin). A deputy was dispatched to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. While en route, the deputy received information that the suspect was involved in a vehicle crash prior to exiting the parking lot. The deputy made contact with the suspect and identified her as Nichols. While speaking with her, the deputy observed items hidden on her person. Nichols admitted that she took the items from the store without paying for them. Inside the vehicle, the deputy located more stolen items and a Klonopin pill. The stolen goods totaled over $100. Nichols was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Jan Keller, 53, 171 Two Sisters Landing, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on February 20, 2017 at 8:26 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. Keller went to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to visit an inmate. While at the facility, a correctional officer located the active warrant for her arrest. No bail is set.
