St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Arrest Report

Wayneisha Shaw, 25, 162 Mary Garret Lane, Charenton, LA was arrested on February 24, 2017 at 12:20 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and operating a vehicle without a driver's license. A deputy assigned to the Warrants Section was eating lunch at a restaurant in Franklin when he observed Shaw enter the business. The deputy knew that Shaw had an active warrant out for her arrest. Shaw was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. She was released on a $700 bond.
Shaneka Kemp, 25, 158 Verdun Lane Lot #1, Verdunville, LA was arrested on February 24, 2017 at 12:22 pm on a warrant for disturbing the peace (fighting). The warrant was issued as the result of an investigation into a fight between three subjects, including Kemp, on Verdun Lane in December. Kemp turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin and was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. She was released on a $750 personal surety bond.
Micah Soileau, 19, 512 Joey Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 25, 2017 at 7:15 am for the following offenses:
4 counts battery of a police officer
Resisting a police officer with force or violence
Hate crimes
Vagrancy
Disturbing the peace (offensive words)
Criminal damage to property
At 3:45 am on February 25, 2017, deputies responded to a report of a disturbance that may have involved a weapon at a residence on Delmar Avenue in Bayou Vista. Deputies learned that Soileau, the subject causing the disturbance, had left the residence. While investigating the incident, deputies received a report that Soileau had returned to the location and was causing another disturbance. Deputies entered the residence and asked Soileau to leave. Soileau refused and became combative. While detaining Soileau, he struck one deputy and pushed another to the floor. Soileau then attempted to kick deputies while violently pulling away from them. Deputies escorted Soileau from the residence. Once outside, Soileau began yelling profanities causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. Soileau then focused his attention on one deputy and repeatedly yelled racial slurs. Soileau later spit in that deputy's face. After being placed in the police unit, Soileau struck his head against the partition and kicked the door of the vehicle causing damage to the police unit. While res-training him, another deputy was struck. Deputies transported Soileau to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set. The disturbance at the residence remains under investigation.
Allen J. Hebert, Jr., 25, 214 C. Romero Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on February 25, 2017 at 8:46 pm on an Iberia Parish bench warrant for failure to appear on the charges of domestic abuse battery (by strangulation) and on a warrant from the City Court of Franklin for failure to appear on the charges of illuminating devices required and drivers must be licensed. Deputies made contact with Hebert following a vehicle pursuit that ended on Chitimacha Trail in Charenton. Hebert was a passenger in the vehicle. Deputies located the active warrant for his arrest and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. He was transported to the Franklin Police Department jail for housing.
Juvenile male, 13, Centerville, LA was arrested on February 26, 2017 at 1:49 am for violation of the parish curfew ordinance, ungovernable juvenile, and criminal trespass. A deputy responded to a business on Highway 182 in Centerville where an off-duty Iberia Parish Sheriff's deputy detained a subject walking on the private property of a business on Highway 182 in Centerville. While speaking with the subject, the St. Mary Sheriff's deputy found that he was a juvenile and that he had left his residence without the permission of a guardian. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings. The investigation is ongoing.
Jaylin Francois, 20, 194 Murial Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 26, 2017 at 8:50 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. A deputy investigating a report of suspicious vehicles on South Road in Bayou Vista stopped to speak with 2 pedestrians in the area. The deputy identified one of them as Francois and located the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Francois to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
