7 people appear on the arrest report from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Deputies say they responded to 42 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period.

Clarence Sophus , 52, 124 Bogan Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 25, 2016 at 10:05 am on a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for attempted unauthorized use of an access card. On January 14, 2016 detectives began an investigation into a report of a residential burglary that occurred on Hebert Street in Franklin. The detective learned that two suspects entered the home and took a wallet from a resident who was home at the time. The male victim was not injured. A short time after the crime, the detective found that Sophus was attempting to use one of the credit cards stolen from the victim at a gas station in Houma. Working with a detective from the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, a warrant was obtained for Sophus’ arrest. A St. Mary detective located Sophus at his residence in Franklin and took him into custody on the warrant. Sophus was booked into the parish jail. Bail is set at $50,000.

Ashlyn R. Gros , 24, 154 Sun Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 25, 2016 at 2:24 pm for violation of stop signs and yield signs and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Highway 182 and Sun Road to a report of a two vehicle crash. During the crash investigation, deputy collected evidence that Gros, the driver of one of the vehicles, failed to stop at the stop sign on Sun Road and struck a vehicle traveling on Highway 182. The deputy also located a grinder in Gros’ vehicle containing small pieces of marijuana. Gros was released on a summons to appear in court on March 30, 2016.

Marcus J. Frederick , 42, 505 Pellerin Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 25, 2016 at 3:25 pm on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation. Frederick was brought to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by an Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy on the warrant. No bail is set.

Tyler Porche , 29, 2100 Sawmill Creek Road, Metairie, LA was arrested on January 25, 2016 at 3:51 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension, operating a vehicle without proof of insurance, and speeding. A deputy transported Porche from the Lafourche Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

Michael Fields , 39, 226 Pickett Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 25, 2016 at 5:44 pm for criminal damage to property. A deputy investigating a complaint of a possible burglary on Pickett Lane found that Fields, who knew the victim, entered the home and caused an estimated $2,500 in damage to the victim’s residence and vehicle tires. Following the investigation, Fields was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on bond.

Two Juvenile males , 10 years of age from Patterson, LA were arrested on January 25, 2016 at 6:35 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting). A deputy responded to a complaint of a fight in progress at a residence on Judy Lane in the Patterson area. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the two juveniles were involved in a physical altercation resulting from an argument the two were having. Both juveniles were released to guardians pending juvenile court proceedings.
