State Police Won’t Investigate Housing Agency
LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Louisiana State Police have deferred to a federal investigation of the Lafayette Housing Authority.
As a result, a state police spokesman says troopers will not act on a state lawmaker's request for an investigation of a closed-door authority meeting in October.
The Advocate reported that Rep. Ricky Hardy had requested a state investigation to determine if an audio tape of a housing authority board meeting on Oct. 26 had been tampered with.
State police won't say what federal agency is investigating.
