Puppies Dumped off Bridge in Henderson (PHOTO OF SUSPECT VEHICLE)
Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office need your help trying to find whoever dumped eight live newborn black lab puppies off the bridge by Potato Shed Road in Henderson.
The incident happened on Sunday around 2:00 PM. Deputies say a witness called in the animal cruelty complaint after seeing a small white single cab truck briefly stop on the bridge and toss a bag into the water.
The suspect’s truck was described as a possible older model white Toyota or Nissan single cab truck. In the back of the truck there was a silver dog box with bright yellow borders around the door of the dog box.
According to our news partners at KATC, the puppies were saved and are currently being taken care of by Every Paw Animal Rescue.
The suspect vehicle was seen traveling south on the Henderson levee road, towards Pat’s Seafood Restaurant. If anyone recognizes this vehicle or knows the owner of this vehicle, they are asked to please contact the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office at (337) 394-3071 or via messenger on the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
