Teen Arrested In Rayne Shooting

A 15-year-old juvenile is in custody after 17-year-old Jordan Matthews was found shot in the head inside a private structure in the 500 block of West Bull Street in Rayne.

Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly says Matthews body was found by officers around 1:45 PM on Friday, February 2.

The incident has been ruled a negligent homicide and the case has been forwarded to the Acadia Parish District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
