Teenager Indicted On Attempted Second Degree Murder Charges
16-year-old Joseph Robbins of Acadia Parish will be tried as an adult on Attempted Second Degree Murder charges after allegedly trying to shoot another juvenile on February 6th.
The incident happened in the 24000 block of Crowley Eunice Highway. During the disturbance, Robbins allegedly armed himself with a 20-gauge shotgun and tried to shoot the other juvenile. But the victim was able to run away after the gun malfunctioned. Authorities say Robbins then allegedly grabbed a rifle and tried to find the victim, but was unable to.
Robbins sits in the Acadia Parish Jail on 1 count of Attempted Second Degree Murder. His bond has been set at $75,000.
