Gizmodo.com reports, a night of over indulgence in the 1960's led to the "discovery" of the popular pain reliever. Dr. Stewart Adams had a hangover after an evening out with friends, and was due to deliver a speech, so he took 600 mg. of an experimental drug that was being developed as a potential treatment for rheumatoid arthritis.
