TikToker ‘Mr. Prada’ Arrested in Connection to Louisiana Therapist’s Murder
TikTok personality Terryon Ishmael Thomas, better known as "Mr. Prada," has been arrested in connection with the murder of Baton Rouge therapist William Nicholas "Nick" Abraham. Thomas, 20, was taken into custody in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 1) and now awaits an extradition hearing that will determine if he will be returned to Louisiana to face charges related to the incident.
The arrest comes just days after Abraham's body was discovered wrapped in a tarp and left along Highway 51 between Fluker and the Village of Tangipahoa on Sunday (Sept. 29). Abraham, a 69-year-old therapist and former Catholic priest, died from blunt force trauma to the head, neck, and shoulders, with authorities describing his death as "very physical, very violent." The discovery of his body was a shock to many in the Baton Rouge community, where Abraham was known for his work in mental health and motivational speaking.
On Monday afternoon, Baton Rouge police attempted to stop Abraham’s stolen vehicle, which was being driven by Thomas. During the attempted traffic stop, Thomas allegedly backed the vehicle into a marked police unit before fleeing the scene. Police later identified Thomas as the driver, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on charges of aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Following his arrest, Thomas will go before a judge in Texas, who will decide whether he will be extradited to Louisiana to face these charges. As of now, no one has been formally charged with Abraham's death.
Attorney Denies Past Connection to Accuser
In a separate clarification, Abraham's attorney, Jarrett Ambeau, addressed speculation about a previous accusation against the therapist in 2015. A male, who was 11 years old at the time, had accused Abraham of inappropriately touching him during a counseling session. Ambeau confirmed that the alleged victim in the 2015 case is not Terryon Ishmael Thomas, stating, "It's unequivocally not him."
Back in 2015, Abraham was arrested on suspicion of molestation, but after being booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and posting a $25,000 bond, the case never went to trial. District Attorney Hillar Moore explained that, while there was probable cause for the arrest, there was insufficient evidence to meet the burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt, and the matter was ultimately closed without formal charges.
"Mr. Prada" and the Social Media Buzz
The arrest of "Mr. Prada," who has amassed over 8.2 million followers and more than 550 million likes across two TikTok accounts, has stunned his followers. Many had speculated about his involvement since he was named as a person of interest by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office and subsequently ceased his social media activity. The TikTok community has been actively discussing the case, and the arrest has only intensified the online buzz.
The Baton Rouge Police Department has confirmed that Thomas, known on TikTok as "Mr. Prada," remains a key figure in the ongoing investigation. Authorities are still working to determine where Abraham's murder took place, as no signs of a crime were found at his Baton Rouge home.
The investigation into Abraham’s death continues, and we will provide more updates as new information emerges. Anyone with further information is encouraged to contact the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa.
