TRAFFIC ALERT: Several Accidents On SB I-49

Several accidents in the southbound lanes of I-49 have traffic backed-up for miles. LA State Police Trooper Thomas Gossen reports several scenes are being worked in the area between mile markers 6 and 7. This is the Carencro area north toward Grand Coteau. At least one lane will have to be closed so crews can remove one car in the median. We'll update you with more information as we get it.
