Transitioning From the Oil Field? Check Out These Workshops (AUDIO)

With the steep downturn of the oil and gas industry, many Acadiana residents are experiencing employment hardships.

It may be difficult to find a job in the field that you were once employed, but Townsquare Media has partnered with Reggie and Associates to host a series Transitioning Workshops.

Fred Reggie, founder of Fred Reggie Associates, joined KPEL's Rob and Bernie this morning to discuss the workshop to be held tomorrow at Lafayette's South Regional Library. The workshops will be held at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Reggie said everyone has unique strengths that may make them viable for employment in fields that may have never been considered.

At the workshops, participants will be taught how to tap into those strengths to find new employment or even move up in your career field.
