UPDATE: Arrest Made; Troopers Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting In Rayne

Louisiana State Police officials say 31-year-old Dustin L. Benoit has been arrested for injuring an officer by shooting him during last night's incident that happened at around 11:30.

An overnight shooting involving a Rayne police officer is being investigated by Louisiana State Police. Witnesses say shots were fired overnight near Kennedy Field. State Police Trooper Thomas Gossen confirms investigators are on the scene.
