Two Arrested For Abusing & Stealing From Elderly Victim

Carencro Police Chief David Anderson told our news partners at KATC that two people have been arrested for physically abusing an elderly person.

The two are also accused of stealing large sums of money from this victim.

Police arrested 37-year-old Bridget Book of Jonesville and 40-year-old Marlon Roberts of Alexandria on charges of cruelty to the infirm and exploitation of the infirm.

After getting information that the victim was possibly being abused, Anderson says they launched an investigation that last six months.
