26-year-old Ralph Bates and 34-year-old Brice Robison - both of Crowley - were arrested on August 13th after Acadia Parish Sheriff's deputies say they pulled over a suspicious vehicle on Ella Louis Drive just north of Crowley.

Deputies say they found a stolen Smith and Wesson .380 handgun, a small amount of Marijuana and $1,400 in counterfeit money. Sheriff K.P. Gibson says the handgun was reported stolen out of Houston, Texas. Bates and Robison were two of three occupants in the vehicle.

Bates was charged with possessing the stolen firearm while Robison was charged with possessing the marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and the counterfeit money.

Both men were booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
