DOTD crews continue their work to widen U.S. 90 to six lanes from Albertson's Parkway to north of the Ambassador Caffery intersection in Lafayette Parish. They are hoping to have this work done in the summer of 2018.

Tonight (Wednesday), from 8 PM to 6 AM, the middle section of U.S. 90 at the Albertson's Parkway/St. Nazaire intersection will be closed because of road and bridge construction. Part of the Geaux South program will be to construct an overpass along U.S. 90 above Albertson's Parkway, a new railroad overpass and modify the adjacent frontage roads. Now, through traffic traveling on U.S. 90 in both directions, as well as eastbound traffic on Albertson's Parkway, will be allowed through. But, westbound traffic on St. Nazaire will be detoured to La. 96.

Also, Thursday through Saturday, La. 182 between St. Etienne Road and La. 96 will be closed for bridge construction. The work is scheduled to happen between 8 PM and 6 AM each night, weather permitting.
