The University of Louisiana at Lafayette has been recognized as a 2016 Military Friendly® School for a second consecutive year. This recognition is given to top U.S. institutions that embrace military students and ensure resources are dedicated to their success in the classroom and after they graduate.

'The University continually strives to support our military students as they transition to college life,' said Dr. DeWayne Bowie, the University’s vice president for Enrollment Management.

The designation is based on extensive research and a data - driven survey of colleges, universities and trade schools approved for Post-9/11 GI Bill funding.

Many factors are considered, including military support on campus, tuition assistance, benefits for spouses and dependents, and adjustable requirements for schedule and course completions.
