Want Cheap Books? Hit Up The Book Sale
The Friends of the Lafayette Public Library will be holding their Fall Book Sale September 11-14 2019.
Why should you attend the Fall Book Sale with Friends of the Lafayette Public Library? CHEAP BOOKS, that's why! Oh, and you will also be helping out an organization that helps the Lafayette Parish Library.
I know I mentioned cheap books, but you'll also be able to browse CDs, DVDs, vinyl, and audiobooks.
The sale will take place at the Heymann Center Ballroom on South College. Wednesday night's sale, from 6-8 PM, will be for members of Friends of the Lafayette Public Library. On Thursday, the sale opens to the general public beginning at 9 AM. The sale continues on Saturday, September 14.
If you aren't a member and don't want to wait until Thursday to take advantage of the sale, you can become a member for only $5 at the door! Look at that: 3 birds, 1 stone!
The books at this sale are sold by the inch - $1 per inch for hardbacks and 50c per inch for paperbacks. Vinyl, DVDs, audio books, and CDs are priced individually.
Friends of the Lafayette Public Library will also have a Special Books table featuring individually prices books sold separately. The books will be sold for $10 - $25 and will include books of special interest (first edition books, books autographed by the author, and over-sized books including coffee table books).
So far, the Friends of the Lafayette Public Library have donated over $85,000 to the Lafayette Public Library.
