The question for Louisiana's 5th Congressional District voters today is "which Republican will head to Washington?" Neil Riser and Vance McAllister, both GOP candidates, are in the runoff for the Congressional seat previously held by Rodney Alexander. The eastern portion of St. Landry Parish is included in the district that stretches all the way to North Louisiana.

Going into today's polls, Riser is the front-runner, but McAllister is fighting a fierce battle. He's pulling out the big guns, almost literally, with Willie Robertson from TV's "Duck Dynasty" as a  proponent.

Jennings residents will also be casting ballots today between Janet Jones and Anthony "Coach" Leblanc for a city council seat. Only 1% of the vote separated them in the primary election.

Balwin voters will choose a new town alderman and decide the fate of a $-million water and sewage bond.

Polls are open until 8:00 tonight. Voters are reminded to bring photo identification.
