Work Begins Today On Old Abbeville Lift Bridge

A bridge repair project has begun on LA 335 to LA 82 in Vermilion Parish.

DOTD workers are making mechanical repairs to the Old Abbeville Lift Bridge on LA 14 Business and are performing other related work.

Traffic will be rerouted around the construction area with minimum delays from 7 AM to 5 PM EACH DAY, weather permitting. This is scheduled to last until Monday, December 17.

DETOUR: Consists of LA 82 north to LA 14 Bypass, west to US 167, south on US 17 to LA 14 Business, North to LA 14 Business to US 167, then north on US 167 to LA 14 Bypass, east on LA 14 Bypass to LA 82 south.
