UPDATE: Ronald McGee has been captured and is being processed into the parish jail.

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office report that one of their work release inmates has escaped.

The inmate returned at about 9 o'clock last night, but then decided to turn right around, and he ran away from the facility.

The Eunice native, Ronald Adam McGee, could be headed to his house at 2021 Dudley St.

Last night, McGee was seen by Opelousas Police in the "gully" at the intersection of Cherry and South Streets, but then the officer lost sight of the man.

McGee was in jail for burglary and theft.

He's a white male with blue eyes. McGee is six feet, two inches tall, and he weighs 195 pounds.
