Young Man Dies in Shooting in Iberia Parish

A 19-year-old male is dead after he was found shot in the 3100 block of Sugar Oaks Road.

The shooting happened on Sunday, according to a press release from the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office. Officers say the victim made it to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

His name has not been released yet by the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office, who says they are currently interviewing numerous eyewitnesses as part of the homicide investigation.
