A hangover cure? And the people of Louisiana say, Amen! But, does it really work? I think it is definitely worth a shot.

According to Bloomberg, a group of researchers in Finland did a study on a possible cure for the dreaded hangover and it looks like it might actually work.  The key is amino acid, according to a study published in the journal Alcohol and Alcoholism by researchers at the University of Helsinki and the University of Eastern Finland. The study found that a dose of 1200 milligrams of amino acid called L-cysteine was found to reduce nausea and headaches related to alcohol consumption. A dose of 600 milligrams helped alleviate stress and anxiety.

Researchers added that on top of helping with hangover symptoms, L-cysteine also helps to reduce the need for drinking the next day, which means this is lowering the risk of alcohol addiction. A huge bonus is that it is also supposed to help keep your skin, hair, and nails healthy. Ok, ladies, I’m in.

The best part about this little remedy is that you can get it at a vitamin and supplement store. The cure has been right under our nose on a shelf down the street?
