Abbeville General Named Vermilion Business Of The Year

The Vermilion Chamber of Commerce was named Abbeville General Hospital as its Business of the Year for 2019. The award was presented at the Annual Installation and Membership Social at the Erath Community Center. Abbeville General has been serving the Vermilion Parish community since its doors opened in 1966.

ABBEVILLE, La - On January 30, Abbeville General Hospital was awarded the Business of the Year Award for 2019 by the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber’s Annual Installation & Membership Social. Community leaders and local businesses gathered at the Erath Community Center to join the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce at their Second Annual Membership Awards. Five award categories were presented and recognized businesses and individuals for their dedication, commitment, and contribution to the community. Winners were nominated by their business peers based on their demonstrated commitment to the advancement of the business community. Abbeville General Hospital was selected as the recipient of the 2019 Business of the Year Award due to their support of the business community, chamber programs, and workforce initiatives. In February of 1996, Abbeville General Hospital opened its doors to the community with open arms. For 53 years, the facility has maintained its commitment to hiring local talent and demonstrating a powerful local economic engine.
