The push to open more businesses in the state of Louisiana continues with Attorney General Jeff Landry advocating for personal care businesses to open safely.

Landry joined Acadiana's Morning News to talk about the request and how the Governor can safely put new measures into place.

In a letter sent to Governor Edwards, Attorney General Jeff Landry is pushing for the re-opening of hair salons and barbershops. It comes after a meeting he had with representatives of the Louisiana Board of Cosmetology. The letter was sent earlier today and talks about the many ways these businesses can open safely. He notes that other business sectors have proven they could operate while mitigating the spread of COVID-19. The request comes one week after Landry pushed for churches to be re-opened. Those places of worship were permitted to hold outdoor services starting last weekend.
