
Popular Allergy Medicine Recalled in Louisiana Over Poisoning Risk
Louisiana folks have been enjoying the beginning of Spring from Lake Charles, Monroe, to Hammond. We have had a sunny, cool start so far, and we aren't complaining.

However, we are complaining about the pounds of pollen that have been dumped all over the ground and our cars. Spring in Louisiana also means allergy season, so hopefully, you are stocked up on your favorite antihistamine.
While you are checking your medicine cabinet, be sure to check for a popular allergy medicine that has been recalled.
Popular Allergy Medicine Recalled in Louisiana Over Poisoning Risk
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that 2,300 bottles of Benadryl Liquid Elixir have been recalled due to a posing risk.
The product itself is technically safe to consume however, because it contains diphenhydramine, it poses a serious risk for children.
The Poison Prevention Act mandated that any medication containing diphenhydramine must have a child-proof cap or packaging.
CPSC explains that "the packaging of the products is not child-resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if young children swallow the contents."
What Benadryl Product Is Being Recalled?
Louisiana, check your medicine cabinets for Benadryl Liquid Elixir. The medication is packaged in a brown plastic bottle with a pink and white label. Check the bottom of the box for lot code 'X003VRIGUL'.
Customers are eligible for a refund but are advised to discard the product.
Customers must submit their Amazon order number and a photo of the product being thrown away to recall@arsellsupport.com.
While the liquid inside the bottle is technically safe for consumption, the packaging makes it a safety hazard for young children.
