Arrest Pending After Search Warrant Executed In Acadia Parish

Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon says his office executed a search warrant at a home in the 2200 block of Quarter Pole Road near Rayne Wednesday morning that netted multiple drugs.

Narcotic Task Force agents confiscated the following: 

• Around 400 ecstasy tablets
• 40 ounces of Promethazine with Codeine
• A 223 caliber AR-15 with 40 live rounds

The Sheriff's Office points out that the total value of the all the items seized in the raid is around $25,000.

All the items will be sent off to the Acadiana Crime Lab for testing.

An arrest or arrests are pending in this case.
