Baldwin Police Officer Arrested For Impregnating 14-Year-Old

A now-former Baldwin Police Officer is behind bars for impregnating a 14-year-old girl.

Thirty-nine-year-old Joseph Brent was under investigation for drug distribution when a minor living with Brent and his wife gave birth.

Although Louisiana State Police could not prove the drug charges, DNA evidence revealed Brent fathered the 14-year-old's child.

Brent was booked into the St. Mary Parish jail July 24 and faces charges for Molestation of a Juvenile, Malfeasance in Office, Sexual battery, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.
