UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory Lifted For Northside Of Lafayette
UPDATE: LUS has lifted the boil water advisory for parts of Lafayette on the north side of the city.
"A pipe located north of I-10 in a vacant area near Louisiana Avenue broke early Sunday morning resulting in a loss of water pressure," says LUS spokesman Alex Antonowitsch. "The issue was fully resolved by 2 .pm., Sunday afternoon, once the broken pipe was isolated from the system."

LUS has issued a boil water advisory for parts of Lafayette after a water line break this morning. The area affected is the area between I-10 and LA-1252 and between Moss Street and LA-354. The area is marked on the map below.
Lafayette Consolidated Government says water pressure has been affected in the area. Residents are asked to boil water for a full minute before using it for drinking, food prep or brushing teeth. The advisory will be in effect until water samples are tested and cleared by the Louisiana Department of Health.
