Breaux Bridge Man Booked On Drugs, Weapons Charges
St. Martin Parish deputies arrested a Breaux Bridge man Monday night for multiple drugs and weapon charges.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Major Ginny Higgins said 30-year-old Eddie Wiltz was arrested after agents raided his Patin Street home.
Agents recovered five pounds of synthetic cannabinoids, along with Xanax pills and prescription cough medicine.
He was also found in possession of a stolen handgun and over $2,000 in cash.
He was subsequently charged with the following:
- Illegal carrying of weapons in the presence of CDS
- Illegal possession of stolen firearms
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Violation of uniform CDS law; drug free zone
- Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I CDS (Synthetic Cannabinoids)
- Possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies
- Possession of Schedule IV CDS (Alprazolam) 2 Counts
- Possession of a Legend Drug (Promethazine)
- Possession of Schedule I CDS Marijuana
Wiltz was also wanted on an active arrest warrant with the following charges:
- Creation or Operation of a clandestine laboratory
- Possession of Schedule 5 CDS
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Violation of CDS law Drug Free Zone
Following his arrest he was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center and his bond was set at $300,000.00.
