A family of four in Carencro who lost everything in a mobile home fire Tuesday is now asking for the public's help to get their lives back on track.

Lafayette Fire Department spokesperson Alton Trahan said the fire was reported when a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the home and banged on the door to get everyone out.

According to KATC-TV 3, the family can't receive support from those agencies that help fire victims until the fire department files a report. That report won't be ready until next week, the family told the television station.

If you can help, the family is in need of the following clothing:

  • 2X women's shirts
  • size 22 women's pants
  • size 10 women's shoes
  • size 16 tall women's pants appropriate for a desk job
  • size 9 women's shoes
  • 3X men's shirts
  • 42 x 34 men's pants
  • size 12 men's shoes
  • size 10 men's shoes
  • men's large shirts
  • 32-inch waist pants

Donations can be made at any Chase Bank location account number 455744792, under the name Travis Chatman. He said you can call him as well for other donations at (337) 316-3218.
