EUNICE, La. (KPEL) -- A Eunice woman has been jailed stemming from a fight over child support.

Deputy Chief Varden Guillory with the Eunice Police Department says 27-year-old Morgan Douglas was seen punching and hitting the victim as police arrived. Douglas was ordered to stop fighting, but when she continued, police were forced to restrain, Guillory says.

The victim says he owed Douglas $800 in child support payments. He had apparently given her $500 a few days ago and was there to pay her the remaining $300. However, the victim says Douglas demanded another $50.

When he refused to pay that, Guillory says Douglas grabbed a block of concrete from a nearby bird bath and threw it at him. The victim raised his arms to protect his face, but he still suffered so injuries.

Douglas was booked into the Eunice City Jail on charges of aggravated burglary, disturbing the peace, and resisting an officer. Her bond has been set at $10,000.
