Today on 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' Congressman Jeff Landry disputed comments made last week by Congressman Charles Boustany.

When asked to comment on the "fiscal cliff" being referred to in regards to Bush-era tax cuts ending this year Landry said,

"A lot of people are advocating, including last week when you had Congressman Boustany on, for a "lame duck" session of Congress.  For anybody to advocate that we deal with all the fiscal issues and problems we have in a one month period in a "lame duck" Congress is basically legislative malpractice."

Congressman Landry also commented on:

  • The upcoming Presidential debate
  • The November Presidential election
  • The U.S. tax code
  • Tapping into he Strategic Oil Reserve
