A Lafayette man is facing attempted murder and armed robbery charges in Acadia Parish.

Crowley police say they arrested Shaquille Ledet on two counts of attempted second-degree murder and one count of armed robbery. According to Chief Jimmy Broussard, Ledet was already in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center at the time of his arrest on these charges.

Broussard says Ledet is the suspect in a September 9 shooting on West 6th Street between Spann and Moore Avenues. Ledet is accused of shooting at a moving car in which two women were riding. Neither woman was wounded, but they were injured when they hit several ditches immediately after the shooting.

Ledet is in the Acadia Parish Jail on $250,000 bond.
