MOUNT BALDY, Calif. (AP) — Authorities in Southern California say one person has been killed in flash floods brought on by thunderstorms.

Rescue officials in San Bernardino County say a body was found in a car that was swept into a rain-swollen creek and overturned.

Meanwhile, crews are clearing roads of mud, rock and debris in the San Bernardino Mountains so that more than 2,000 people in two towns can get out.
