Update – Escaped Inmate Bryce Christopher Jackson Captured In Cecilia

UPDATE: Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says Bryce Christopher Jackson was captured in Cecilia shortly before 9:30 p.m.

Thursday afternoon, shortly after 1:30 p.m., 21-year-old Bryce Christopher Jackson escaped from a work detail in Cecilia near the Cecilia Library. Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says Jackson's escape caused schools in Cecilia to be under soft lockdown earlier in the day.

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says Jackson was in jail on charges of Simple Burglary, Theft and Unauthorized Use of a Movable.

Jackson was last seen wearing a gray sweat shirt with an orange t-shirt underneath, gray sweat pants and black work boots. He's 5'9", 160 pounds.
