Escaped Inmate Caught
An inmate who escaped from a work detail on Friday has been captured. On Tuesday January 18, 2011 at approximately 12:15pm Detectives with the Lafayette Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of Crowley Police Dept., Acadia Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshalls Office arrested
Detectives received information through their joint investigations with the above listed agencies that Brown may have been hiding out at a residence in Crowley. Upon arrival at the residence Brown surrendered without incident.
Paul Brown was the inmate who walked off a work crew at the Blackhum Coliseum on Friday January 12, 2010. He is facing possible charges of Simple Escape, Unauthorized use of a movable and theft.
