Fake Drugs (And Real Ones) Land SM’Ville Man In Jail
A St. Martinville man was arrested today, not only for possession of drugs, but also for possessing counterfeit drugs.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Ginny Higgins reported Narcotics Division agents arrested 30-year-old Chase Richard Friday morning near Parks.
Deputies executed a search warrant that yielded a significant amount of crystal substance created to mimic methamphetamine, along with anabolic steroids and marijuana.
Richard was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
- Possession with the intent to distribute a counterfeit Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance
- Possession of Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance (Marijuana)
- Possession of Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance (Anabolic Steroids)
