Free Bus Rides Home For Runaways

Over the Christmas holiday, I watched "The Ghost of Christmas Eve and Other Stories" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It’s the story of a teenage runaway who wants to go home. Greyhound Bus Lines has teamed with The National Runaway Safeline to offer free tickets Home.

To be eligible for the "Home Free" program, the individual must be between 12 and 21 years of age, call the NRS helpline, be named in a runaway report, and intent upon reuniting with their family. The toll-free number is 1-800-RUNAWAY (1-800-786-2929). The line operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
