Funny Money In Lafayette

Lafayette Police are looking for three people accused of using a counterfeit 20 dollar bill to pay
for two separate orders at a fast food restaurant on Ambassador Caffery. Corporal Paul Mouton
with the Lafayette Police Department says two men and a woman...described as white and in their
late 20's / early 30's...drove up in a newer model green Ford extended cab pickup to Sonic Drive
Inn...ordered their food...used the counterfeit bill...and left as soon as they got their change.
Police are also looking into a similar incident that happened at a Sonic in Broussard.
