As people around the world start buying up all the hand sanitizer to try and steer clear of the coronavirus, some prices online have sadly skyrocketed, if you can find some available at all. Don't sweat it, you can make your own cheap cheap and here's how to do it...

The best things you can do to help avoid sickness is to wash your hands thoroughly and often with soap and water, and avoid touching your face. But, if you're in situations where you can't wash your hands, hand sanitizer is your next best friend.

Yesterday I told you about how some 3rd party sellers on Amazon are beginning to charge outrageous prices for hand sanitizer, but as I found out over at theverge.com, making your own can be cheap and just as effective.

It's important to note that hand sanitizer is only effective if you "cover your hands thoroughly and then let it dry. Squirting a few drops into your palms and then wiping your hands isn’t going to help at all" according to theverge.com.

You can mix up your own hand sanitizer by simply mixing rubbing alcohol and aloe vera gel. You can get fancier if you want by adding things like scented oils, but just mixing 99% isopropyl alcohol aloe vera gel gets the job done.

Below is the recipe and will cost pennies on the dollar to make.
