Iberia Parish Deputies Investigate Meth Lab

Iberia Parish Sheriff's deputies responding to a domestic disturbance call in New Iberia discovered an apparent methamphetamine lab inside the home in the 600 block of McDonald Street.

The people inside the home were evacuated along with the people living in three nearby homes.

HazMat units for the New Iberia Fire Department, Iberia Parish Fire District, State Police and Iberia Sheriff's Office all responded to the scene along with paramedics.

Three patrol deputies along with the two adults that lived in the McDonald Street home all received decontamination treatment at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and police say charged are pending.
