Louisiana Lottery Confirms Single Ticket Wins $250 Million Powerball

(KMDL-FM) The Louisiana Lottery has confirmed that "champagne wishes and caviar dreams" have come true for one lucky Powerball player as a result of Monday's multi-state lottery game. Powerball has also confirmed the winner's details. They've also confirmed that a single ticket sold for the March 2, 2026, Powerball drawing is worth over $250 million this morning.

We have also confirmed through data released by the Louisiana Lottery that, in addition to the $250 million winner, another ticket sold in Louisiana earned big money as well. Based on our preliminary investigation, we've determined that there was also a $100,000 winner confirmed by our sources at the Louisiana Lottery in Baton Rouge.

Before last night's big win, the Powerball game had gone without a jackpot winner since January 21, 2026. In that game, a single ticket sold in North Carolina earned the game's top prize of $209.3 million.
