International French Bread Festival in Jeanerette October 7
The inaugural International French Bread Festival will take place in Jeanerette, Louisiana on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. under the Main Street Pavilion located at 1630 Main St.
So, what is the International French Bread Festival all about?

"The International French Bread Festival showcases the beloved French bread, symbolizing the historical connections between Louisiana and France and the importance of preserving culture in shaping the unique identity of Louisiana's people."
Of course, no Louisiana festival without great live music and great food.
The inaugural International French Bread Festival will begin with the ceremonious "Blessing of the Bread" followed by fantastic live music throughout the day from Justin Morales, Leah Simon, Mr. Hot Topic, Justin Champagne, local recording artist Andrew Jackson and zydeco’s Wayne Singleton and Same Ol' 2 Step band.
There will also be a vintage car show, the Lagniappe Market showcasing local art and crafts, a STEM kids corner, and of course plenty of delicious local food vendors.
The International French Bread Festival will also feature a chop-style food competition with chefs using French bread as the main ingredient.
According to the official press release "The festival's highlight is the Zydeco competition to crown the French Bread Festival King and Queen."
The Inaugural International French Bread Festival's 2023 theme, "Healthy Me, Healthy You, Healthy Community."
