If you haven't heard by now, there's a Lifetime Christmas movie being filmed in New Iberia and shooting begins next week.

The movie will star some familiar faces as Jana Kramer and Percy Daggs III are starring in the film.

Kramer is most notable for her work on "One Tree Hill" and has had some success as a country singer. You probably know Daggs best from "Veronica Mars."

The film also features Barry Bostwick, known for portraying Brad Majors in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and Mayor Randall Winston in "Spin City."

"This is a multi-generational love story," said the film's producer Daniel Lewis. "This is a movie that's based in New Iberia, and it's a very sweet, uplifting movie about New Iberia."

The movie will follow Kramer's character as she returns home to New Iberia for the holidays. She attends the 50th annual Christmas Sugarcane Festival, where former kings and queens return to the festival. After that, a multigenerational love story unfolds.

The movie will be shot almost entirely in downtown New Iberia and along the Bayou Teche.

There are a lot of Louisiana ties involving those working on the film. Producer Daniel Lewis is from Prairieville and currently lives in Madisonville.

The screenplay was written by Lake Charles native Emily Moss Wilson and the director is Alys Murray of Baton Rouge.

If you are interested in being an extra in the film, you can email bgcotrfilm@gmail.com with your full name, phone number, headshot, date of birth and availability.

There's no word yet as to when the movie will be airing but Lifetime Channel does begin airing holiday movies October 25 through Christmas Day.
