Lafayette Live: Council Assigns Posts To Lafayette’s Newest Fire Station (AUDIO)

Lafayette's newest fire station. located on Curran Lane, has been built. Now it's time to man the precinct.

The Lafayette City-Parish Council met last night and established the posts needed to assign manpower to Fire Station No. 14.

Jared Bellard visited with KPEL's Rob and Bernie this morning sharing what the measure entailed.

Bellard said establishing the new fire station is a requirement to maintaining Lafayette's Class 2 fire insurance rating which translates to savings in insurance premiums.
