
Lafayette Head Coach Charged With Sex Crimes Involving Juvenile Student
LAFAYETTE, LA (KPEL) - A Lafayette Parish softball coach was arrested and booked for indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Ronald Naomi is now the former David Thibodaux STEM Academy head softball coach after having sexual relations with a juvenile student, according to KLFY.
A spokesperson for The Lafayette Parish School System confirmed that Naomi is no longer affiliated with the school. Naomi was contracted to work for the school but was not a Lafayette Parish School System employee.
"Lafayette Parish School System has severed ties with a volunteer softball coach who was arrested Thursday at David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy,” an LPSS spokesperson tells KLFY, “The individual was contracted with the school to coach the team but was not an employee of LPSS."
Naomi was booked just before 1 am on Friday morning. His bond is set at $40,000, $15k for indecent behavior with juveniles, and $25K for prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student.
