Lafayette’s Jockey Lot Flea Market Sustains Major Damage in Early Morning Fire

The Lafayette Jockey Lot flea market sustained significant damage in a fire at the business this morning.

The Jockey Lot is located at 3011 NW Evangeline Thruway in Lafayette, Louisiana, basically next door to Hub City Ford.

According to a report by News 15, witnesses said the fire happened in the 600 section of the facility.

Several videos were posted on social media this morning from those passing by while the fire was taking place.

Fire officials told KLFY that at least two units sustained "major damage."

Little other information is known at this time.
