LDH: August 16th Louisiana COVID-19 UPDATE
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Sunday, August 16th.
There have been 137,918 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That's 1,181 more reported cases since Friday.
Numbers show that there are 1,196 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized. That's 47 fewer hospitalizations since Friday.
189 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 8 fewer Friday.
The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 4,384. That is 77 more reported deaths since Friday.
As of today, 103,512 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered, as of August 3rd. That's 14,429 presumed recovered patients since the last report released.
The total number of coronavirus cases that have been in the Acadiana region is 22,305 with 518 total deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 7,947 total cases, 101 total deaths

Iberia Parish: 2,616 total cases, 78 total deaths

St. Martin Parish: 1,783 total cases, 47 total deaths

St. Mary Parish: 1,677 total cases, 61 total deaths

St. Landry Parish: 2,895 total cases, 96 total deaths

Acadia Parish: 2,696 total cases, 90 total deaths

Evangeline Parish: 967 total cases, 13 total deaths
