LDH: August 19th Louisiana COVID-19 UPDATE
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Wednesday, August 19th.
There have been 139,903 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That's 778 more reported cases since yesterday.
Numbers show that there are 1,160 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized. That's 44 fewer hospitalizations since yesterday.
175 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 12 fewer than yesterday.
The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 4,468. That is 37 more reported deaths since yesterday.
As of today, 118,120 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered, as of August 17th. That's 14,608 presumed recovered patients since the last report released.
The total number of coronavirus cases that have been in the Acadiana region is 22,459 with 531 total deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 8,038 total cases, 104 total deaths

St. Mary Parish: 1,694 total cases, 65 total deaths

St. Landry Parish: 2,950 total cases, 102 total deaths

Acadia Parish: 2,712 total cases, 91 total deaths

Evangeline Parish: 978 total cases, 17 total deaths
